Nhu Energy to Provide its Microgrid Digital Operating Technology (OT) Solution for Valley Children’s Hospital Energy Storage Microgrid
A new clean-energy solar plus storage microgrid project at Valley Children’s Hospital in Fresno, CA will feature Nhu Energy’s comprehensive microgrid digital operating technology for energy management, control, and optimization. In addition to providing year-round value to the hospital in energy and demand savings, an objective of this microgrid is to enable instant transfer to emergency power in the event of an electric grid outage.
Valley Children’s Hospital (VCH) is one of the largest providers of pediatric health services in California and in the country. This stand-alone pediatric acute-care children’s hospital, with 358 beds, is the largest Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center in the region, the only Level IV NICU in Central Valley, and the only provider of pediatric extracorporeal life support (ECLS) for their service area. Valley Children’s is also a teaching hospital affiliated with the Stanford University School of Medicine.
