Tallahassee Start-up Makes “Sweet 16” as Cade Prize Finalist
The “Final Four” winners will be announced on September 29, 2018 at the Cade Museum in Gainesville, FL.
Nhu Energy is named a finalist in the 2018 Cade Museum Prize Competition. The Cade Prize attracts cutting edge inventions that have a real possibility of making it to market.
Nhu Energy, located in Innovation Park in Tallahassee, was selected for its development of technologies and services to bring new levels of intelligence and control to the electric power system to enable proliferation of new types of resources such as solar power, energy storage, electric vehicles, and automated demand response.
The Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention in Gainesville, FL awards the Cade Prize to inventors and entrepreneurs who demonstrate a creative approach to addressing problems in their field of expertise resulting in an innovative, not iterative, invention. It is open only to Florida residents and Florida based companies. Since its launch in 2010, it has drawn hundreds of creative thinkers from Pensacola to Miami. This year’s Cade Prize finalists include three Tallahassee companies – Nhu Energy, Diatech, and Neuro Jungle.
